A friend's story about his life..........

Meet zeph.

A close friend of mine.

He told me yesterday that it’s all over between him and the girl that he loves. A flash back – Zeph split with his girl four years back, she bounced back and forth into relationships (so did zeph) and somehow Zeph was there with her through all of that.

They didn’t have a thing going since the break up. They agreed that they had a thing for each other, Zeph confessed that he still loved her, but she said she was not sure. She did not get into a relationship yet. Zeph on the other hand wanted a serious relationship now, a committed one.

He knew very well things had changed in these four years. Probably some irreversible changes, that both of them could do nothing about. Everyytime they thought of giving each other a chance one of them backed out based on decisions that were made on the spur of the moment. Now I don’t know who was right or wrong, but I was convinced from what he told me that possibly that they were never meant to be together.

Then came the suggestion to be friends by hi girlfriend. Zeph was convinced that friendship has different connotations to it, and it would never be possible to get into something like that.

I am convinced too “Two best friends can be lovers, but two lovers after a split up, cannot be friends”. On the look of it they may appear to be friends, but deep within there is still that side which wants to lean on the other a little more than it would occur to a friend.

Well that was Zeph for you, if I continued writing, probably this would be my only full time job. I could actually go ahead an write a book on his life. Which I would eventually some day.
